New Camera - Pentax istDL

I cannot wait to learn how to use my new camera....an SLR....bells and whistles and lens' OH MY....it can do so much, I just need to resort back to my journalism training and learn to do the great things that it is capable of doing...SAD, but I will admit, I had to buy a video designed for the camera and learn the basics in addition to the high end stuff....stay tuned for some great pictures....
This baby is sweet...I love my old standby FUJI, but just love modern technology....I can't wait to test it out in NEW YORK CITY!!!! 17 days til' NEW YORK!!!!!

They grow up so fast....

It seems like just yesterday Celinna was walking away from me with her little lunch box heading to Kindergarten...now look at her 17 years old....She will be a Senior this year....We have our struggles...name a mother and daughter that don't but overall, she is a good kid...

I think I am going to scrap these pictures that I took with my new camera....boy do I have a lot to learn....

The crop at SYM was great yesterday....great new people and lots of fun.....I am going to post some surprises with prizes over the week....only the people that read my blog will know....

YEAH ME....

My first month on Jenny Craig.....12.5lbs down and 7.5inches lost.....YEAH...Happy Dance Time....I am far from the end of my weightloss struggle, but you have to start somewhere...

Working on my steps....doing more walking than anything else...for right now...

We have an online crop this weekend on Scrapping Your Memories....The DT has come up with some great ideas that should really generate some great stuff....

I have a new Camera too..YIKES...I have gone Digital SLR...No more Digital Point and Shoot...MAN o MAN...what a difference...I learned on a 35mm and upgraded to a 35mm SLR....Still hard to remember everything that I learned many years ago...I am taking an online course to brush up....Going to practice with the new camera this weekend...need a zoom lens....ooops, that is more money....hehehhehe

I smell SMOKE!!!

OK....My 4th of July was EVENTFUL to say the least.....

Some shopping with my husband and most of all.....THE BBQ FIRE....

Yup, I got too close to the BBQ... hair, brows, nose hairs, etc.....and my youngest daughter "No Mommy, your hair is not on fire...I got it good...I learned that a childs' idea of fire means 4 alarm blaze, not, your hair is gonna look funny for a while fire, not stop...drop...and roll hair fire....HA, that is all I can do now is laugh...

My friends at SYM { www.scrappingyourmemories.com } are having a good old time...lead by my sister of course....so not to be UNDONE....FIRE MARSHALL BILL
